"Lost in power"
48cm x 33cm x 15.5cm, 27kg, crystalline resin. A limited edition sculpture signed Pierre KOUKJIAN.
The lost in power piece is a satire on the fossil fuels. The logos of oil companies are drowning in the resin, an oil byproduct. The Artist views the oil industry coming to an end and conveys this idea through this sculpture. Entirely handmade the logos are silk screened onto a porcelain like base and then slowly dunked into the solidifying resin. The jerrycan shape is firstly built in clay and then a mold is taken from the shape. Te resin is poured into the mold. The jerrycan is then sanded and polished.
